I am Deborah Cacciola

Photographer in Orleans, France, specializing in maternity and newborn photography since 2008.

I welcome families into my professional studio in central Orleans, France, a warm space designed for pregnancy, newborn, baby and family sessions.

I am also a mother of two children, Keziah and Aaliyah, and I know how quickly these first moments become memories.

Since the beginning of my career, I have photographed more than 2,000 babies. I still feel the same emotion every time I create images that will become a precious family legacy.

How I became a newborn photographer.

Newborn babies have fascinated me since I was a child. Before being passionate about photography, I was passionate about babies and the tenderness of the first days.

In 2007, I discovered that newborn photography was already a fully developed profession in the United States. I immediately knew I had found my path.

I am self-taught, and years of work, patience and training led me to become a photographer and trainer in France and abroad.

Thank you to every family who has trusted me with the first precious images of their children. I look forward to meeting the little treasures I will photograph next.

Transmission

Teaching and sharing my approach

I have also been a photography trainer since 2014. I teach newborn posing, workflow, safety and the way I guide families from the session to the final retouching.

My training sessions are available as one-to-one mentoring, two-person sessions and group workshops. They are mainly dedicated to newborn photography, with pregnancy photography training added in recent years.

These workshops have allowed me to meet photographers from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Reunion Island, Guadeloupe, Tahiti and many other places. It is a deeply rewarding human experience.

For several years, I have been invited to speak at photography conferences and congresses to share my experience with newborn photography, posing and baby safety.

2015, Paris: conference on newborn photo sessions in front of more than 230 attendees.
2017, Madrid: presentation and workshop for more than 250 photographers.
2019, Paris: live demonstration of my newborn workflow on stage.
2019, Sao Paulo: conference and studio workshop during Feira Fotografar.
2020, Ukraine: conference dedicated to newborn posing and birth photography.
2023, Malaga: stage demonstration about safe newborn handling and posing.

Jury for international photography competitions

I have also been invited as a jury member for international photography competitions, reviewing work from photographers around the world and sharing my perspective on newborn, pregnancy and family photography.
